Internet Access at IIT Mandi

Below is the procedure to access the Internet at IIT Mandi. :

A. Those who have not registered their devices.

The access is provided through LDAP credentials.

1. Connect to IIT Mandi network (Ethernet/WiFi). Please use the password 'wifi@iit' to connect to the IIT Mandi WiFi.
2. Configure your browser/device not to use any proxy server.
3. You will be prompted for login while trying to access the Internet.
   
4. Authenticate using LDAP username and password.
   
5. After authentication, access to the Internet in a new tab.
6. Please logout after using the internet. Logout is very important specifically while using any public computer systems in labs/other places. .

* In case you accidentally close the logout page without clicking the logout button, the session can be terminated using the following URL.
https://logout.iitmandi.ac.in

B. Those who have registered their devices using the MAC Address Registration Portal. (Available only for Faculty)

The credentials are not required for the already registered devices.

1. Connect to IIT Mandi network (Ethernet/WiFi). Please use the password 'wifi@iit' to connect to the IIT Mandi WiFi.
2. Configure your browser/device not to use any proxy server.
   

   You may follow the link below to register your device. Please note, you should register a device which is used by you only. All the activities done on a registered device is recorded on the name of the person who has registered that device.
